My Latest Beauty Hauls.

Hi Everyone! Hope you're all having a great week. I just wanted to do a quick post and share with you all my latest beauty haul. Stopped by my favorite stores and took a few goodies home with me.

Real Techniques Brush Set By: Samantha Chapman courtesy of ULTA. MAKEUP FOR EVER HD FOUNDATION & Clinique 2 Face Wash Kit courtesy of Sephora

FYI: Samantha Chapman is a Pro Makeup Artist working in collaboration with her younger sister Nic. These sisters are one of my fave Youtube makeup gurus. Check their website out. Click here.

Not long ago, I've gotten a few samples of these. I loved how gentle the face wash was and the face lotion was very moisturizing and not super oily on your skin. The clarifying lotion was great, it gave you a tingly feeling and took off the extra residue post washing my face.  Never been so excited to wash my face. =)  Can you believe!!!

I am so loving this paddle brush. My hair is definitely getting longer and my hair is having a few tangle issues. This brush is such a great investment. For the price of $12, its so worth it and such a good deal. Definitely an A+.  I would just brush my hair with just one stroke and have no problem getting any strands caught.

Lately I've been wearing a lot of Reds and Orange tone nail polishes. With fall around the corner I thought it would be nice to add a darker hue to my nail polish collection.
I looked around inside my favorite store, Anthropology and found this lovely nail polish. As you can see by the pic, it's  Formaldehyde free. Loving the color, the price on the hand is a different story. I'll post a pic next time wearing this nail polish.

Fell in love with these glasses. I guess that's all for now. Hope you guys enjoyed the pics.

See you all lovelies next time...

I have been totally MIA... Adding the fact that I'm still a newbie when it comes to blogging. I do apologize, honest to goodness I've been wanting to post this, I just didn't think it would take me this long. I know it took some thought deciding whether I should make this blog or not, but of course we do have our lives outside the blogosphere. I just have been idle and posting was the last thing on my mind. With that said, I do hope you guys will understand---so,enjoy the pics.

Went out with a couple of friends from work, two and a half weeks ago. Yes that's when all these took place. These pictures were taken on July 22nd. We all had such a good time and the weather was definitely on our side. It was such a georgous day. It just so happened we were all off on that  glorious day.

I was running a bit late to meet up with these two, so to make up for it I brought these yummy pastries. I'd say I was forgiven.

food & books galore

I was off on Wednesday earlier this week, so I called my friend Len if she wanted to grab some lunch. We decided to go to Patio Filipino. They have this three course entree special. Definitely a steal when you're on a budget. The food is really good and so is the ambiance. Scroll down, so you can see a few pics I took of the resto and the yummy food we ordered.

This week has been so-so for me and I can't believe its already the end of the week. I will try to put up more pics of what I've been wearing. Lately, its just food trips for me and shopping.  Believe it or not, I went to Patio Filipino this Friday again along with my co-worker. Just so because, when I mentioned it to her she had instant craving and was psyched to try the food out. I think I'm becoming a regular member there now. Which isn't so good, because Filipino food is definitely rich and some are really fattening. My birthday is actually weeks from now. I've been meaning to go on a diet, but keep delaying it. Well I will get into the details of my birthday and the whole diet issue later on my next post.
But for now, hope you all enjoy your Sunday. As for me, well I have a date_ with work of course.

Stay tuned....

what i wore....

Skinny Jeans, Old white-knitted top, flowered racer back top from Bloom, elephant brass bracelet, wedge gladiator Velcro sandals from Cathy Jean's

I actually wore this outfit last Friday, so forgive me.  I did some last minute errands prepping  for my niece's birthday party.  My cutie-pattootie, niece turns one. She happens to be my goddaughter as well.  As part of her gift I was encharge of doing her favors. Hello Kity is her pal.. so apparently it was also the theme for her birthday party. So, Happy Birthday Abby! May you stay cute and sweet... Shout out to all the July birthdays out there.

These were my  recent haul from F21. I've lost some of my earrings. So, when  I was at the mall  I made a quick stop at Love21 and picked out these cuties. I might not be alone when I say this, but don't you guys have one or two earrings ( no wait, maybe more) that's lost its partner. I really hate when that happens.
Dont you?!

I'm loving this teal heart-shaped one. Its so bohemian and the color goes-well, pretty much with everything! My closet definitely agrees. Its back to work for me tomorrow so, see you all next time.

Stay tuned...

A Day in SF...

Here are the pics...

The Five Spice Chicken.
This was really good. The serving portion was definitely befitting for two and the price was very reasonable. Next time, I'm gonna try their soups. There were pictures of food in the menu and they were just mouthwatering.

Its hard to tell from this picture, but you can actually see the beach water glistening.

out n about...

B & B Beauties and the Beauty. www.650bb.com
The hype on BB Creams...
First of all, I apologize because its been a week since I created this blog and counting that- this would be my second post.
I decided to do my very first review on beauty products:  I have been hearing about BB Creams for some time now. So, I decided to go on a little adventure and did a bit of a research on where I can find a store closest to where I live.  I was fortunate to find B & B, Beauties and the Beauty Shop in San Francisco. Minutes away from me, literally right next door. Excited, I ventured out on this little trip.
My first impression of the store was that it was very inviting. Simple, clean and most important customer service was excellent. I was greeted right away by Jenny. She was very helpful and  answered my questions and concerns. I mentioned my blog to her and ask if I could take a few photos. She was more than happy to obliged and even offer to help. So, thanks Jenny for the wonderful experience and for all the help.
What is BB Cream. BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. Prescribed by dermatologist, as a post operative treatment to patients undergoing laser surgery.  Korean actresses began using this product  because of its benefits and healing properties and due to the popularity of K-dramas BB Cream crazed was born spreading to Japan part of Asia and now working its way throughout the globe.
My testimonial: I've been using this BB cream for a week now. I went for the smaller bottle just because I wanted to try it out.  This little baby cost $18 (bigger bottle was $30).  Jenny suggested I used Skin79 since I have a dry/oily combination skin.(esp. T-Zone area)
... more than just your average tinted moisturizer, these babies have triple functions. Yes, that's right! It has whitening, UV Protectant SPF 25, wrinkle free... no wonder people are going gaga over this stuff.

 Pros:
  • comes in a very hygienic bottle and one pump is all you need. A pea size amount to be exact.
  • No tools needed: just clean fingers  and spread all over your face (foundation brush is optional if you want a more airbrush effect).
  • nice scent
  • dries quickly and leaves a soft finish on your skin.
Cons:
  • comes in only one shade, so I used my Bare Essentials powder to go over it.
  • thick consistency, so melt it in your fingers.
Overall, it isn't so bad. I'm actually getting attached to it and incorporated it in my daily routine. Of course, there are also plenty of BB Creams from different brands out there so, do shop around and find what's best for you. I plan to make another trip to B & B shop and get the Missha Perfect Cover B.B Cream.

Also I bought a few face mask. ( always wanted to try these from watching my K-dramas.) 2 are by Misha: Aloe & Caviar. Both are great for moisturizing. Been sleeping late lately and that has definitely taken a tole on my skin. I really love the Caviar. After using it Ifelt my face was softer. Both smells nice. For those who are planing on trying face mask, I recommend using it prior to sleeping. Leaving it on your face will definitely be more beneficial. The other one is by The Face Shop: Hyaluronic Acid. Haven't use this last one yet.( Jenny told me to use this last.)
No need to be alarmed! I know there's the word acid connected  with Hyaluronic Acid... it is often misjudged, but this ingredient  is very beneficial to the skin. It will leave your skin moisturized and glowing.  It is said to be non toxic, non irritating and non sensitizing, best of all its great for all skin types.

Free Samples Jenny, gave me.

my entire haul

All the walking around did exhaust me a bit and I needed to recharge. I saw this Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant from driving around earlier. I actually asked Jenny and she recommended I try out their Five Spice Chicken...but I'm saving that for my next post. Stay tuned!...
